Manhattan´s style

PT: Nova Iorque é conhecida, entre muitos outros aspetos, por ser uma das grandes capitais de moda. Entre as ruas movimentadas e os restaurantes concorridos, há um mix de estilos faz com que a cidade tenha uma diversidade fashion incrível. A este nível deve destacar-se a zona de Manhattan, onde se centra a grande elite da cidade.

Manhattan é também conhecida por ter uma vida social bastante exuberante onde as festas e os grandes eventos se realizam para um grupo bastante restrito de pessoas. Neste âmbito, foi criada, em 1976, a revista Avenue, a mais antiga revista social de Manhattan e que tem acesso exclusivo a esta elite como nenhuma outra revista tem. Apresentamos abaixo a edição deste mês.

Como um bom exemplo de tudo isso temos a série americana Gossip Girl que espelha exatamente o lado fashionista e exuberante desta zona da cidade. Atualmente, a série tem um importante papel comercial, uma vez que as personagens principais já ditam as próprias tendências de moda. O sucesso é tanto que a marca americana Romeo & Juliet Couture assinou uma parceria com a Warner Bros, que produz Gossip Girl, para criar uma linha inspirada nos estilos de Serena (Blake Lively) e Blair (Leighton Meester), as duas grandes protagonistas.

EN: New York is known, among many other things, for being one of the great capitals of fashion. Among the busy streets and crowded restaurants, there is a mix of styles makes the city an amazing mirror of fashion diversity. Manhattan is an important area when we talk about NY fashion, because that´s where we find this city's elite.

Manhattan is also known for having a very exuberant social life where big events are held to a very restricted group of people. To demystified this side of the NY society was created in 1976 the Avenue magazine, the oldest Social Manhattan´s magazine that has exclusive access to this elite, like no other magazine has. Below we show you this month's issue.

The series currently has an important commercial role since the main characters already dictate their own fashion trends. The series is such an huge sucess that the american brand Romeo & Juliet Couture signed a partnership with Warner Bros., which produces the series, to create a line inspired by the styles of Serena (Blake Lively) and Blair (Leighton Meester), the two main characters.
